Suzanne Manahan
Associate Vice PresidentSuzanne is an Associate Vice President at Sedgwick Strategies, supporting natural resource and infrastructure clients. Previously, Suzanne concluded a 35-year career with the Province of British Columbia largely focused on major project delivery. Most recently, Suzanne served as Executive Project Lead for the North Coast Transmission Line, a project designated by Canada as nationally significant; working with the proponent, First Nations, governments and provincial regulators on all strategic and operational priorities with a focus on co-ownership opportunities for First Nations, streamlined regulatory and environmental processes and project management services supporting a Final Investment Decision.
Suzanne’s previous executive experience was as the provincial lead on LNG facility and pipeline projects, in which she played an instrumental role in leading a multidisciplinary team responsible for all aspects of a new, emerging industry including international investment attraction, working closely with industry on regulations and permitting, policy and fiscal framework design, First Nations inclusion and integrated project management between BC’s regulatory agencies and project proponents. In addition to major project experience, Suzanne also served as Chief Information Officer in the economy, natural resource and education sectors managing capital projects and enterprise-wide infrastructure.
Suzanne has been a Project Management Professional (PMP) since 2005 in addition to strategic leadership programs at both the University of British Columbia and Ryerson University. In her spare time, Suzanne enjoys rural living on Vancouver Island with her dog, chickens and garden and spending time with her family.
