Allie Meeres
Executive Vice President & PartnerAllie is the Executive Vice President and Partner at Sedgwick Strategies. She works with clients to find creative solutions to soft issue risks facing their organizations, leads strategic communications projects, and guides collaborative partnerships between government, industry and Indigenous nations. Her current clients include some of Canada’s top energy companies and Indigenous led organizations.
Prior to joining Sedgwick, Allie worked on the Woodfibre LNG project. She managed community and stakeholder relations for the project, including building and maintaining relationships with local, provincial, and Indigenous governments as the project worked through pre-construction management plans and permits. Allie also supported the Woodfibre’s obtainment of an Impact Benefit Agreement with Squamish Nation and a Term Sheet with Tsleil Waututh Nation. Before joining the Woodfibre LNG project, Allie led marketing and communications for the Association of Mineral Exploration (AME) and worked for the School of Exploration and Mining in Smithers, BC, where she worked with remote Indigenous nations delivering industry training programs.
Allie holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Diploma in Marketing Management from the British Columbia Institute of Technology. She is a graduate of the Minerva Foundation’s Women Leading the Way program, a member of BCBC’s NEXT Generation Leader’s Council, a past board member of the Squamish Chamber of Commerce and spent several years as a Child Life volunteer at BC Children’s hospital. In her spare time, Allie loves being in nature and travelling.
